Youth Musical Theatre Classes

  • Instructors: Melissa & Paul Arthur Stewart III
  • Youth: 7 to 18 years old
  • $25 per month
  • 13 to 16-week sessions
  • Limit 20 students.

Improve your musical theatre skills this semester! The session will conclude with a performance at the Farmington Civic Center (date TBD).

Beginner - starting Febraury 10, 2022
Ages 5-8 yrs
Thursdays, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Intermediate - starting January 31, 2022
Ages 7-18 yrs
Mondays, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Advanced - starting January 31, 2022
Ages 7-18 yrs
Mondays, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Audition Workshops

New to auditioning or just want to be extra prepared to get that part in Four Corners Musical Theatre Company's 2022 summer season??? Join us for one of two pre-audition, Orientation to Summer Musicals workshops.

Parents & Children
February 26, 2022, from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. • FREE
This workshop is for parents of and/or children 7 to 14 years old auditioning for parts in The Music Man and Annie. We will discuss the audition process, what roles are open, how callbacks will work, what the rehearsal schedule will look like, and other pertinent information.

Teens & Adults
February 28, 2022, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. • FREE
This workshop is for teens (ages 15+) and adults interested in auditioning for roles in the summer theatre shows. We will discuss the audition process, what roles are open, how callbacks will work, what the rehearsal schedule will look like, and other pertinent information such as the purpose of Four Corners Musical Theatre Company and its structure as a professional company.

The Heather McGaughey Children’s Theatre and Teen Voices, collectively known as Heather McGaughey Youth Theatre, is growing up! The mission of the Heather McGaughey programs is expanding to support the growth of performing arts in Farmington and surrounding areas for youth and adults in both the live theatre and film industries. 

Now known as the Heather McGaughey Four Corners Theatre Academy, or Heather's Academy, the various programs offered will help individuals gain the skills to more successfully participate in:

  • Four Corners Musical Theatre Company
  • the emerging Four Corners film industry
  • or any of their performing arts goals in the Four Corners and beyond!

These programs were created in memory of Heather McGaughey, a professional actress and entertainer who tragically lost her life in Farmington in July of 2005. Heather strove both to pursue excellence in her art and to elevate those around her to their best.

The mission of the Heather McGaughey programs continues to be building the love of theater and promoting self-confidence and teamwork skills in Farmington’s youth AND adults. The goal is to provide Farmington residents with basic theatre training and the opportunity to perform. Some of the key areas students can expect to focus on are The Actor's Process, Musical Theatre and Character Development, Theatrical Movement, Devised Theatre, and Scenic Design.

Heather McGaughey Four Corners Theatre Academy is managed by the Farmington Civic Center.
