The Farmington Public Safety Cadet program is now the Public Safety Cadets Unit #34!
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Public Safety Cadets Unit #34 provides participants with insight into the world of policing. Meetings are held bi-monthly. The program is designed to teach cadets the roles and responsibilities of police officers, such as:
Investigating crimes
Firearms
Responding to domestic disturbances, bombs threats, and other high-risk calls
Conducting traffic stops
Other police-related activities
Cadets may also be permitted to ride along with officers from time to time and will get to serve their community as volunteers at police events.
This is an excellent opportunity for teens and young adults interested in a law enforcement career.
